How to rent a bike
Swipe your registered IC card over the sensor zone at the dock with a green light.
Take the bike when the "green light" starts flashing and beeping.
Hold the handlebars with both hands and pull back to get the bike.
How to return a bike
Find an empty dock with a blue light and align your bike's tires with the wheel alignment groove.
Insert the lock into the slot and make sure the "blue light is flashing" and the bike cannot be pulled out to complete the locking process.
When the blue light blinks and beeps, hover your card over the sensor for payment and the light flashes green to indicate a successful return.

Rent via IC Card
1st Press, 2nd Swipe, 3rd RidePress the green Rent via IC Card button.
Tap the card against the sensor.
The "Pull the bike backwards" message appears on the screen. Please return it later to an empty YouBike 2.0 dock.
Hold the handlebars with both hands and pull back to get the bike.
Return via IC Card
Return your bike to the dock via IC cardAlign your bike's tires with the wheel alignment groove.
Insert the lock into the slot.
Make sure the screen says "Tap the IC Card."
Tap your IC card against the reader, which shows the "Charge" and "Balance", indicating a successful return.
Rent via QR Code
1st Press, 2nd Scan, 3rd RidePress the orange Rent via QR Code button.
Use the YouBike app, press "Scan QR Code" at the bottom of the home screen, point it at the screen of the bike and scan the QR code or enter the verification code for unlocking (if unable to scan the QR code in bright light, enter the verification code to unlock).
The “Pull the bike backwards” message appears on the screen. Please return it later to an empty YouBike 2.0 dock. Hold the handlebars with both hands and pull back to get the bike.
Return via QR Code
Check the App for Returning Your BikeAlign your bike's tires with the wheel alignment groove.
Insert the lock into the slot.
The screen showing "Thank You" means you have returned it.

Low Battery Alert
Please check the battery level on the screen first, and follow the instructions if any of the following reminders appears.
- Return the bike promptly if the battery level is lower than 15%.
- No power assist if below 5% during the ride.
