How to Sign up for insurance
- New Members
When new members register, they should fill in their National ID Card (residence certificate) number, date of birth and other real-name information, and their first IC card (EasyCard, i-Pass or e-payment) will be automatically enrolled in public bicycle injury insurance, and riders do not need to pay the premium, but from the 2nd to 5th IC card and for existing members, they still need to enter their information to register. In case of any changes or additional IC cards in the future, they should adjust the insurance information to ensure their rights and interests.
- Existing Members
Existing members are still required to fill in their information for registration. There are 2 ways to register: YouBike official app and official website. If you change or add new IC cards in the future, you should adjust your details for insurance to ensure your rights.

- (1) Download the official app and log in to your membership (iOS/Android).
- (2) Open the side menu and click on "Get Insured" to enter the card list page.
- (3) Click "Join Insurance" for the uninsured card to enter the enrollment process.
- (4) Read the online application instructions and fill in the correct information to complete the application.

- (1) Log in to membership onthe official website.
- (2) Click on "Set up Public Bike Injury Insurance" in the function list on the left on the "Member Area" page to enter the card list page.
- (3) Click "Join Insurance" for the uninsured card to enter the enrollment process.
- (4) Read the online application instructions and fill in the correct information to complete the application.
Notes
Each account can apply for linking five IC cards (including the card linked for QR code scan), with the five cards registering the same or five different insured persons (one card can have one insured person only). The user of the card and the insured person must be the same person and shall confirm the registration details to ensure coverage of the injury insurance so that he/she is eligible for claims in the event of an accident.You are reminded to observe the traffic rules when riding and any breach of traffic rules will not be covered. Coverage
In the event of death, disability, fracture or hospitalization as a result of an accident while riding a YouBike rented with an IC card covered by injury insurance (including a linked card) in the above-mentioned areas (Note 1),the insured may apply for an insurance claim with the insurance company by providing the relevant claim documents. Note 2: Pursuant to Article 107 of the Insurance Act, the insured amount for funeral expenses referred to in the preceding paragraph may not exceed one half of the funeral expense deduction allowed for estate tax under Article 17 of the Estate and Gift Tax Act.
Note 3: The scope of fracture benefits( Without Hospitalization ) is subject to the terms and conditions of the insurance policy.

In the event that a third party is injured or killed in an accident caused by a user riding a YouBike in one of the said areas (Note 1), the user may claim compensation with the insurer by presenting documents such as police records, medical receipts for the injured person, etc., up to a maximum of NT$2 million per person for bodily injury or death.Note 1: All areas covered by the insurance and their YouBike vehicles are represented by "Area (Prefixes of the vehicle numbers)": Taipei City (01), New Taipei City (02), Taoyuan City (03), Hsinchu County (05), Hsinchu City (04), Hsinchu Science Park (82), Miaoli County (07), Taichung City (06), Chiayi County (11), Chiayi City (10), Tainan City (13), Kaohsiung City (12), Pingtung County (14), Taitung County (15).
